I Thought I Had to Earn Love—Until I Realised the Pattern Was Mine to Break
The Invisible Pattern That Follows Us
Growing up, I internalised the belief that love and approval were conditional. That I had to be perfect, compliant, and emotionally self-sufficient to be worthy. This belief didn’t stay in childhood—it followed me into every form of connection.
In my adult relationships, I found myself attracting partners who mirrored that early dynamic: emotionally unavailable, avoidant, withholding. I fought for love, for connection, for being seen. Even when I was hurting, I felt guilty for bringing it up. Like my feelings were too much.
This pattern also seeped into my business. I undercharged, overdelivered, and hesitated to show up fully. Even when I eventually charged my worth, I felt guilty about it. I doubted my worth, my voice, my value. I felt like I had to earn my place, prove myself, and constantly do more to be enough.

How This Belief Shapes Our Adult Relationships
Attracting partners who mirror that early dynamic—emotionally unavailable, avoidant, withholding—reinforces the belief that we have to earn love. We find ourselves in a cycle of fighting for love, connection, and being seen. Even when we express our hurt, we feel guilty for bringing it up, as if our feelings are too much.
This dynamic isn’t limited to romantic relationships. It can manifest in friendships, family interactions, and professional environments. We might find ourselves overextending, people-pleasing, and suppressing our needs to maintain harmony and avoid rejection.
The Business Mirror: Where This Shows Up in Branding
Our businesses often mirror our internal beliefs. If we believe we have to earn love, we might also believe we have to earn success, visibility, and financial abundance.
This can manifest as:
- Undercharging: Believing our services aren’t worth higher prices.
- Overdelivering: Feeling the need to give more than what was agreed upon.
- Hesitating to show up: Avoiding visibility due to fear of judgment.
- Doubting our worth: Questioning our value and expertise.
These patterns keep us stuck, small, and disconnected from our true power.

What Changed Everything for Me
The moment I realised it was my pattern to break was liberating. I began to see how these beliefs were not truths, but stories I had internalised. I started to challenge them, to rewrite them, and to embody new beliefs that aligned with my worth.
This journey wasn’t easy. It required deep inner work, confronting painful truths, and making conscious choices to show up differently. But with each step, I reclaimed parts of myself that I had abandoned. I began to feel more confident, more empowered, and more aligned with my purpose.
You Attract Who Reflects Your Core Frequency—Until You Shift It
The hard truth is: if you feel unworthy, you attract relationships (and clients) that echo that. The empowering truth is: as soon as you shift, everything changes.
No longer begging to be seen—you see yourself, and that changes how the world responds.
When you embody your worth, you attract clients who value your work, relationships that nourish you, and opportunities that align with your purpose. Your brand becomes a reflection of your true self, resonating with those who are meant to work with you.

I don’t do branding the traditional way, because you’re not here to build a business from strategy alone. You’re here to lead from truth.
I created Brand Alchemi as an identity-led ecosystem for visionary founders, creatives, and leaders who are done performing and ready to express who they actually are: energetically, emotionally, and through a visual expression.
My work integrates esoteric identity systems (Human Design, Astrology, Gene Keys, Numerology), AI-assisted pattern analysis, and deep emotional insight to decode the architecture beneath how you lead, communicate, and build. Not to create a persona, but to reveal what’s already there, beneath conditioning, adaptation, and survival strategies.
This work is personal transformation expressed through branding. We don’t polish what isn’t true. We work at the level where identity stabilises, voice becomes safe to use, and expression stops feeling forced.
For some, that expression lives in language, strategy, and visibility. For others, it extends into visual embodiment, where photography becomes a way to reflect identity shifts, leadership presence, and the moment someone is ready to be seen.
If you’re done with surface-level strategies and ready to build a brand that reflects who you are becoming – not who you’ve outgrown – you’re in the right place.
